Asetek La Prima vs Forte: where is the step up?
The two bases share their brand, quick release, warranty and release year. Moving from the La Prima to the Forte comes down to two numbers: 12 Nm against 18, and 629.41 euros against 797.48.
That uniformity has a rare advantage: changing your mind costs little. Asetek wheels, adapters and accessories move from one base to the other without buying anything again, which is not the case when you switch brands along the way.
The step up therefore comes down to use. Six more newton-metres reproduce the steering forces of heavy cars and single-seaters, where 12 Nm saturates earlier. In GT and touring cars, the La Prima already leaves few people wanting more. The point to watch is the same as everywhere else: at 18 Nm, rig stiffness becomes the limiting factor.

Verdict
Choose the La Prima if you mostly drive GT, touring or rally, and if the rig is not settled yet.
Choose the Forte if single-seaters interest you, or if your structure is already aluminium profile and only needs a base.
Moving from one to the other later remains possible without buying new wheels, which makes hesitating cheaper than it is between two brands. We have tried neither.
