Pedals

A conventional pedal set measures how far the pedal travels. A load cell pedal set measures how hard you press on it.

That difference in principle explains most of the gap in consistency between two drivers on identical hardware. Braking becomes repeatable: on lap 20 you apply the same pressure as on lap 3.
