Simagic announces the TB-Neo, a handbrake you re-tension yourself

On 25 August 2026, Simagic presented the TB-Neo, a handbrake announced at 139 dollars. Its selling point is adjustment: the barrel accepts different elastomers, stacked in the order the driver chooses, which changes the travel and stiffness of the lever without changing the device.

The principle is not new at the brand. It is the one used on the P1000 pedal set, whose P-ORP elastomers are, according to Simagic, interchangeable with those of the TB-Neo.

The elastomer pack follows a hardness scale, from the yellow spring to the black seal, and up to eight pieces stack in the barrel. Four starting combinations are supplied, from a long, soft pull to a short hard stop.

Two optional modules are announced on the same mounting points: a P-HPR linear haptic actuator, driven by telemetry, and a P-HYS hydraulic module for fluid damping.

Choosing a handbrake is usually a one-off decision, and it depends on the discipline: short and sharp for drift, long and progressive for rally. A lever you can re-tension moves that choice from the moment of purchase to the moment of adjustment, which matters for anyone who does both.
