Asetek releases on 6 October 2026 a dual mode shifter, H-pattern and sequential, and a load cell handbrake. On its product page, the brand announces them at 184.03 euros before VAT for the shifter and 150.42 euros before VAT for the handbrake, with VAT added according to the country. Both connect over USB-C and are set up in RaceHub, Asetek's software.
The shifter: seven gears, two modes
The Dual Mode Shifter has seven gears and reverse, detected by Hall effect sensors, and switches from H-pattern mode to sequential mode. Asetek announces an 80 mm wide pattern whose length adjusts from 30 to 69 mm, a weight of 1.9 kg and an M10 knob thread. It mounts for left-hand or right-hand drive. The brand says it tested it over 300,000 shifts, and covers it with a 24-month warranty.
The handbrake: up to 200 kg
The Load Cell Handbrake measures the force applied to the lever with a load cell announced at up to 200 kg, with 16-bit resolution. Its resistance comes from an adjustable stack of elastomers and springs, in two stages. It works in analogue mode, for modulation, or digital mode, like a button. Asetek announces 2.5 kg and one million test cycles.
Where they sit
Our catalogue already lists dual mode shifters, including the Simagic DS-8X, with eight gears, and the Fanatec ClubSport Shifter SQ V1.5, with seven.
On the handbrake side, the Simagic TB-Neo also measures force, with a load cell announced at 100 kg, as does the Fanatec ClubSport Handbrake V2, whose capacity Fanatec does not publish.
Asetek's page only lists a USB-C connection to the computer, with no connection to a wheel base, and says nothing about consoles. Our guides to the shifter and the handbrake explain what the connection changes for compatibility.
We have not had these products in our hands. Prices and specifications are those published by Asetek, read on 30 September 2026.
