On 3 October 2026, during the Singapore round of the Gran Turismo World Series, Thrustmaster unveiled the T-GT III, an officially licensed Gran Turismo 7 bundle for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. It combines a Direct Axial Drive base, the T-GT wheel and a load cell pedal set. Thrustmaster announces it goes on sale on 3 December, at a recommended retail price of 699.99 euros, with worldwide availability expected before Christmas.

The same day, Thrustmaster became an official partner of the Gran Turismo World Series. Fanatec remains the competition's official steering wheel partner, Gran Turismo points out, and its hardware still equips the rigs at the live events.

What the bundle contains

The base uses Thrustmaster's Direct Axial Drive architecture, an axial flux motor in direct drive, the one used in the T598. The brand announces 5 Nm of constant torque, with peaks of up to 10 Nm, and presents this reserve as protection against signal clipping. Our guide to force feedback explains what clipping takes away at the wheel.

Thrustmaster's Harmony technology adds two game-specific effects: GEAR JOLT, a jolt at every gear change, and ENGINE ROAR, which makes the base vibrate in time with engine revs.

The wheel is the T-GT, with a leather finish and four rotary encoders mapped to Gran Turismo's settings. Thrustmaster presents the T-GT III as its first Gran Turismo bundle to include a load cell pedal set, without publishing its specifications: the number of pedals and the maximum brake force are not yet known, nor are the wheel diameter or PC compatibility. The brand says more details will follow in the coming months.

A product supported through updates

Thrustmaster promises to develop the bundle through software and firmware updates, in step with Gran Turismo's Spec updates. The first part of Spec IV comes out on 15 October, the second in December.

The brand describes it as its fifth officially licensed Gran Turismo wheel, and recalls sixteen years of collaboration with Polyphony Digital, going back to the T500RS GT Edition for Gran Turismo 5.

On PS5, a widening choice

A base must carry Sony's licence to work on PlayStation, as our guide to console licensing explains. The T-GT III comes up against the Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro and the PS5-licensed range MOZA unveiled in September.
